Mi Frida
During the "Mi Frida" project we first read a small biography about Frida in Spanish. We read the biography to get used to and learn past tense in Spanish. Once we had read the biography, we thought of someone we wanted to write about and wrote a short biography for them in Spanish. The Spanish in the biography was hard to write, but after writing for a while, things became easier. After we wrote our bio, we created an art piece about the person we researched, based on a Frida painting. The person I wrote a biography for was Nikola Tesla, and the Frida painting I based my artwork on was "My Dress Hangs There."
Calaveras
Calaveras are poems usually accompanied by images making fun of the rich and or corrupt by using the ultimate equalizer, death.
The one below is mine making fun of the late Fidel Castro, and how many times people failed to assassinate him.
